The last of the Wroxham 5K Road Race series took place. This race was a Norfolk County Championship race and also the 9th Race of the Runners Centre Grand Prix series with a total of 366 runners. The weather conditions were almost ideal as it was a cool evening. All the Great Yarmouth & District Athletic Club runners were pleased with their times. The first club member home was Andrew McNamara, in training for the Great North Run in September – finished in 23:06. Next home was Sue Fraser in a time of 25:22, she also collected a BRONZE County medal for the Ladies 50-59 age category. Dawn Clegg was only just outside her PB when she finished in 29:39. A new member, running her first competitive road race was Cindy-Jane Durrant recorded a time of 30:56 and Elaine Haggarty completed the team with a finish of 32:21.
